Wiegrass Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building simple, decent, affordable housing goes beyond constructing a home. We strive to educate the public and policy makers about the importance of affordable housing and change the systems that cause it.
Our affiliate is committed to promoting affordable housing policies both locally and on a global level. We work with Habitat for Humanity International’s multi-year advocacy campaign to influence U.S. policies in order to improve access to adequate and affordable housing around the world.

The current session of Congress will be an ongoing series of difficult budget and policy decisions perhaps more than any other in recent memory. Please take a moment to reach out to your senators and ask them to consider the impact of Habitat’s good works as they deliberate on the tough decisions they’ll have to make. Take action.

State governments are facing unprecedented financial and budgetary challenges. But Habitat for Humanity can and should continue to play a key role in helping states climb out of the housing crisis.
